Stroudwater Associates, the nation’s leading source for strategic, operational, financial, and clinical strategy for rural and community healthcare, welcomes Christie Bishop, BSN, MSN as its newest clinical consultant.

Bishop strengthens Stroudwater’s existing team with her expertise and experience in healthcare management and patient services. Bishop has previously worked as a Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Services and is an active member of the American Nurses Association.

“Christie has an impressive track record of successful implementation of a swing bed program, increasing patient quality care, and clinical service expansion,” said Stroudwater Associates Managing Director Jeff Sommer. “Welcoming her to the team is vital to our firm’s growth and the continued expansion of our clinical service offerings to our clients.”

Previously, Bishop was the Chief Nursing Officer at Hills and Dales General Hospital. During her time there, Bishop implemented an infusion clinic and started a swing bed program. Bishop also implemented departmental staffing to increase patient quality care, improved nursing clinical skills to care for higher acuity patients, and identified opportunities for cost reduction and service expansion in clinical areas.

Stroudwater’s clinical team is led by Senior Consultants Lindsay Corcoran, MHA, and Carla Wilber, DNP, RN, NE-BC, and assists rural and community healthcare organizations and primary care practices and clinics with clinical needs such as Swing Bed, Care Delivery, Care Implementation, Opioid Management, and more.

In her new role, Bishop will work alongside Corcoran and Wilber on several client programs, bringing more awareness and increasing Stroudwater’s capabilities on the clinical side.

“Stroudwater is continuing to grow, and the expansion of our clinical team allows us to elevate our service offerings and continue to deliver exceptional service to existing clients,” says Stroudwater Board Chair Eric Shell.
