A results-driven project coordinator, Megan Zook is deeply committed to helping rural healthcare providers and hospitals improve the health of the individuals, families, and communities they serve. Megan joined Stroudwater Associates in 2021 and supports consultants with project management for the National Rural Health Resource Center Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program and State Grant Programs. She also participates in Stroudwater’s Clinical and Physician Service Lines, working with consultants to improve clinical care delivery and develop provider compensation strategies. Megan is interested in the policy factors that impact the health and well-being of individuals and communities and is enthusiastic about identifying opportunities to improve population health through policy change. She enjoys working with the Stroudwater consulting team in project management to ensure our client’s project goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Before joining Stroudwater, Megan was a Senior Associate at the Health Care Transformation Task Force, a D.C.-based nonprofit consortium of payers, providers, purchasers, and patient advocacy organizations committed to transitioning away from fee-for-service towards value-based payment arrangements. In her prior role, she researched and analyzed value-based payment arrangements and worked alongside C-suite healthcare executives to overcome barriers to implementing alternative payment models.

Megan is a Virginia native who resides in Portland, ME. In her free time, Megan enjoys exploring the outdoors and trying new restaurants in downtown Portland.
