2016 Year in Review

Two years ago, our leadership set forth a new Mission and Vision that inspired and energized the Stroudwater team in our work with clients.

  • Our Mission: Stroudwater partners with healthcare leaders to impact community health.
  • Our Vision: Stroudwater will build capacities and scale to improve the health of 40 million people annually.

As the year draws to a close, we take time to reflect on 2016 and prepare for 2017 through the lens of that Mission and Vision. While we are proud of the impact our collaboration with healthcare leaders made on community health, we continue to ask ourselves important questions: How can we increase that impact in 2017? Are we building our capacities and scale sufficiently to improve the health of 40 million people annually in the years to come?

In 2016, we grew our team by over 20%. As our team grows, so does our capacity to improve the health of communities together with our clients and partners. This year we had the opportunity to serve clients in 43 states this year and to impact the health of an estimated 21 million people a number equal to 1 out of every 15 Americans.

While we are proud of this number and of the tremendous work it represents from our consultants, our clients, and their communities, our Vision reminds us that there is much still to be done. 2017 will undoubtedly bring more change to the healthcare industry, as the new administration begins to implement its priorities. The reality of constant change further deepens our commitment to partnering with healthcare leaders in the coming year to impact community health, especially in times when many of our communities face increasing difficulty in accessing quality healthcare.

Our Chairman, Marc Voyvodich, often closes our meetings by reminding us to do three things: have fun, be safe, and do good. For our team, having fun and doing good go hand-in-hand getting to know our clients and their unique challenges, and facing those challenges together, is both rewarding and fun. As we say goodbye to 2016, we wish everyone a safe, healthy, happy, and rewarding 2017. Our deepest thanks to our friends, clients, and communities for the privilege of working together and for their dedication to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare for all.

This will be our final blog post of 2016. We look forward to sharing new blogs weekly in 2017 and beyond. Please check back for a new post on 1/5/17.
