The annual conference explores how rural hospitals can improve operational performance.
Stroudwater Associates, the nation’s leading source for strategic, operational, financial, quality, and clinical strategy for rural and community healthcare, has announced its fifth annual Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Virtual Conference.
The fifth annual CAH Conference, happening virtually in June 2025, will provide rural healthcare leaders with vital operational resources to help CAHs improve performance at no cost. The sessions, presented by rural healthcare subject matter experts, will also include case studies and conversations with rural hospital leadership and staff.
Key sessions include:
- Maximizing Rural Hospital Value: The Strategic Risks That Can Kill Success
- The Road to Closure: Key Warning Signs and How to Intervene Early
- Integrating Incentive Compensation into Provider Compensation Plans
- Scaling Swing Bed Success: Lessons from a High-Performing Network
- Transforming the Rural Healthcare Revenue Cycle with Data-Driven Dashboards
- Unlocking Insights: Exploring the Updated State & Congressional District
“Rural hospital leaders desperately need practical tools that they can use to address the daily challenges they face to run their hospital,” said Stroudwater Associates Managing Director Jeff Sommer, MPP. “Our conference will arm them with the strategies they need to diagnose issues and improve operations, financial readiness, and ensure long-term sustainability for their hospital in a volatile environment.”
Representatives from over 197 CAHs, about 14.5% of CAHs nationwide, participated in last year’s virtual conference, where they listened to and learned from the experiences of hospitals and healthcare leaders across the country. Rural hospital and department leaders benefited from understanding how their peers addressed the daily challenges of operating a rural hospital and could apply those lessons in their own communities.
“The success of rural hospitals directly impacts the communities they serve, yet our industry remains heavily underrepresented. Our conference serves as an opportunity for leaders to collaborate, educate, and initiate positive change in the rural communities they represent,” said Stroudwater Associates’ Chairman, Eric Shell, MBA.
The 2025 CAH Virtual Conferences will take place during the second and fourth weeks of June. To find more information or register for the Conference, visit Stroudwater’s registration page.
