An experienced nurse administrator and clinical leader, Christie Bishop is passionately committed to improving clinical and quality practices for Rural and Community Hospitals and health centers. After witnessing her brother’s struggle with terminal childhood cancer and the compassion and kindness of the doctors and nurses who treated him, Christie was inspired to begin a career in nursing and help others during their time of greatest need. As a healthcare executive and Stroudwater consultant, Christie brings her deep commitment to improving the lives of patients to each client engagement. She serves Stroudwater clients as a member of the Clinical Team and is an expert in clinical documentation, survey readiness, quality improvement, surgical pre-, and post-op flow, and improving Emergency Department wait times.

Before joining Stroudwater, Christie held the role of Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Services for Hills and Dales General Hospital, a rural healthcare system that includes a Federally Qualified Health Center, a swing bed program, a Critical Access Hospital, a Rural Health Clinic, and Emergency Medical Service. She previously worked as Director of Patient Care Services for McLaren Bay Region and Chief Nursing Officer for Huron Medical Center, among other roles.

Christie earned her Associates Degree in nursing from Delta College and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Phoenix.
