Jason McCormick has over 27 years of experience as a rural healthcare executive, passionate leader, and trusted advisor with an in-depth understanding of healthcare operations and reimbursements. He works to save and strengthen rural healthcare systems by providing advisory and management services, assessing organizations to develop a plan to optimize performance, then managing projects to completion. His proven approach is to implement within a leadership team an advanced organizational leadership model.

Jason began his career as a Business Office Manager and spent seven years in revenue cycle before his first executive role as CFO of South Texas Spine and Surgical Hospital. He spent the following 13 years in various executive roles, including Chief Executive Officer of Rangely District Hospital and Vice President of Finance/CFO of Colorado Canyons Hospital and Medical Center, before turning to consulting full-time as President of The Advisory Group of McCormick, Chase & May. Jason has worked with over 50 organizations from coast to coast, typically performing two to three financial turnarounds per year. He works with boards and senior leadership teams to establish effective organizational leadership practices or select and implement IT systems, and his extensive background in construction enables him to guide an executive team to plan, finance, contract, construct, and open a replacement facility, renovation, or expansion project.  He collaborates effectively with the medical staff, executive team, and the board to create higher levels of teamwork.

Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Utah State University and his Master of Business Administration with a focus on healthcare management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a Certified Healthcare Executive through the American College of Healthcare Executives.
