On Wednesday, October 12, our team hosted a webinar to discuss how to leverage health equity data to begin to reduce healthcare disparities and develop interventions to improve health. Given the recent release of CMS’s 2023 IPPS Final Rule, which includes NEW measures related to the Hospital Commitment to Health Equity, we know how important it will be for organizations to identify and understand health disparities by leveraging relevant data for a defined area.
During the webinar, we:
- Introduced the importance of health equity and social determinants of health data
- Idenfitied what this data tells us about health disparities and priorities with a specific service area or county
- Emphasized the importance of this data and how it can support a health equity strategy
