Stroudwater Associates Announces the Expansion of its Provider, Partnerships, and Performance Improvement Teams

Team expansion underscores Stroudwater’s commitment to partnering with rural healthcare organizations to strengthen financial and operational performance.

Stroudwater Associates, the nation’s leading source for strategic, operational, financial, and clinical and quality guidance for rural healthcare organizations, announces the addition of three new team members: Anika Boddie, MHA, CSPPM; Abby Breen, MPH; and Caleb Brandt, MBA.

The expansion enhances Stroudwater’s expertise in provider operations, rural partnerships, organizational strategy, and performance improvement. New team members bolster the firm’s capacity to assist rural healthcare organizations in overcoming industry challenges and developing more sustainable futures.

Anika joins Stroudwater’s Provider Services team with more than 15 years of experience across hospitals, physician-owned practices, and healthcare consulting firms. Her background includes practice operations, payer contracting, process improvement, and revenue performance. Most recently, she served as a senior managed care contractor reviewing and negotiating payer contracts. At Stroudwater, Anika helps clients streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve the experiences of patients and healthcare teams.

Abby joins Stroudwater’s Partnerships team with experience in rural healthcare, cross-sector collaboration, partnership development, and data analysis. Previously, she worked for a rural nonprofit serving the Columbia River Gorge region, where she managed community partnerships, supported care coordination, and helped deliver mobile and preventive healthcare services to medically underserved communities. In her new role, Abby helps Stroudwater’s rural clients evaluate partnerships that support long-term sustainability and expand access to care.

Caleb joins Stroudwater’s Performance Improvement team with experience in organizational transformation, clinical operations, strategic planning, and performance improvement across physician practices, outpatient services, and rehabilitation programs. Before joining Stroudwater, he served as Integrated Health Clinic Manager for Community Alliance in Omaha, Nebraska. Caleb applies his firsthand leadership experience to help healthcare organizations improve efficiency, strengthen financial performance, and advance high-quality patient care.

“Each year, rural healthcare organizations face increasing financial and operational pressure, making strategic decisions more complex and more consequential than ever before,” said Jeff Sommer, MPP, Managing Director at Stroudwater Associates. “We’re continuing to invest in the expertise our clients need most.

“By expanding our team with leaders who bring deep experience in financial performance, partnership strategy, and practice operations, ” added Eric Shell, MBA, Board Chair at Stroudwater Associates, “we’re strengthening our ability to help rural organizations navigate today’s challenges while building a sustainable path forward.”
